The Law Society is one of UL's most prominent student organisations. Founded in 1990, this is the Society's 32nd Session.

While our members mainly consist of law undergraduates & postgraduates, there is an ever growing contingent of non-law students joining us. The Law Society is a great outlet for anyone with an interest in law or a passion for human rights, debate and discussion.

The Law Society hosts many social and academic events each year such as the annual Law Ball, Career Networking Evenings, an international trip, the student v lecturer soccer match, and various conferences! We aim to help our members meet new people and make new friendships all while immersing themselves in the world of law.

The Plassey Law Review is a student-led legal journal which was launched in 2021, two editions of the PLR have been published to date. The Plassey Law Review provides our members with a chance to have their legal articles and case notes published for the wider legal community to read.

We have been working hard over the past few years to build up our links with local and national organisations. We work with many firms and institutions such as A&L Goodbody, Matheson, and DLA Piper. Membership of the Law Society offers a great chance to liaise with big firms such as these.
