UL Rugby is a very social and fun team with a very competitive edge. It is this mix that brings out the best in all our members, and each year new members are crucial to our club’s success. We are a college team and compete in the SSI Leagues for Senior Men and Ladies, Development Ladies and Men’s Freshers as well as many tournaments in between. We have various social activities which help people to get to know each other and form lasting friendships. We strive to achieve the right balance between on and off the field activities; as a result of this there is great camaraderie between all our team members.
Beginners are more than welcome and encouraged to join. Every year a vast proportion of new members join who have never played rugby before but quickly grow to love the game and the camaraderie.
