A look back on this semester’s Welfare Campaigns

This semester we undertook a huge amount of campaigns to rasie awareness of different issues that relate to the student body.

From rapid HIV testing on SHAG week, to a campus walk remembering those that have died by suicide on mental health week, to flying the rainbow flag for the first ever time outside of Plassey house on trans awareness week, and educating our students on steroid use for men’s health week.

We also started our campaign in solidarity with the many asylum seekers and refugees in Ireland to actively against the inhumane direct provision system in Ireland.

Next semester will see more of the same as we tackle women’s health week, drug use on campus, charity week and continue our protests against Aramark run restaurants on campus.
