UL Student Life together with Mary I students Union, DCU Students Union, Maynooth Students Union, University of Lincoln Students Union, Students Union Royal Veterinary College London and Cardiff Metropolitan Students Union carried out a pre conference program of campus visits.
We visited many campuses including McGill Student Services & Champlain Study Abroad in Montreal. We also visited the University of Vermont ,Middlebury College, Dartmouth College & the University of New Hampshire huge lessons were taken from each of these amazing organisations
This year marked the 70th anniversary of ACUI Region VIII and UL Student Life had the privilege of presenting the learning’s from our recent re-branding venture. We discussed why we re-branded how it was implemented it, the outcomes of carrying out this re-brand and what students now think of our brand.
Our president Jack Scanlan also presented his PechaKucha images where he had to speak on the theme of communities in our organisation. The format is 20 pictures and speak for 20 seconds on each picture.
This was a hugely valuable experience for all staff and officers involved and many learning’s will be taken home as a result.
